DEFengineering was established in 2005, based on the professional experiences already developed in the field of mechanical design and industrial consultancy for innovation; the objective of the company’s start-up was to gather highly professional staff now consisting of 10-15 well organized employees, mainly graduated in Mechanical Engineering, who made it possible to improve the effectiveness of design and consultancy activities in terms of quality assurance and reduction of delivery time. The main activities of the company are industrial design and research. In particular, the company offers the following services:
- general industrial design;
- studies for technological innovation;
- development of industrial products and design for manufacturing;
- modelling and simulation of phenomena in the following domains:
o kinematics and kineto-dynamics;
o statics and structural dynamics;
o thermo-fluid-dynamics;
o CE certification.
DEFengineering now has 15 workstations available, based on the most advanced hardware and software to perform the following main activities:
- 3D modelling and drafting by means of Solid Edge and ProEngineer packages;
- FEM analyses by means of Algor software;
- In-house developed software for calculation and simulation in special applications.
If required, capabilities for the use of other commercial software programs (e.g. Catia, Solid works, Autodesk packages for geometric modelling,…Ansys, Nastran… for FEM modelling), or in-house developed software are available.
As shown by the variety of activities of our customers, DEFengineering is able to operate in any industrial sector, by supplying tools and methods of general application in the manufacturing industry.
DEFengineering has developed a reliable system for managing design database, which ensures high levels of protection and control of industrial information about products and customer’s companies, and excellent customer relations, also thanks to the reliability of the company’s staff.
